The handheld Nuvair Pro N2 alarm analyzer measures nitrogen (N2) levels in mixed oxygen/nitrogen gases. Alarms for low and high nitrogen content can be set by the user. If the alarm sounds, the analog output can activate an optional relay that automatically shuts down compressors. Three power and two module options available.

The Nuvair Pro N₂ Alarm analyzer measures nitrogen (N₂) levels in gases in the range of 0.0 to 100% by calculating the lack of oxygen (O₂) in mixed gases. Other gases like CO, CO₂, H₂, Ar or He do not affect the sensor but are added to the total nitrogen percentage as they are not O₂. This handheld version is portable, easy to use, accurate and stable. The Nuvair Pro N₂ Alarm is a suitable replacement for the out of production Teledyne AN300 Nitrogen Analyzer.

The Pro N₂ Alarm is designed to verify N₂ concentrations in stored gas cylinders, enclosed spaces and with compressors pumping nitrox. When used in breathing gas applications, redundant analyzers must be used for verification. For example, one analyzer must be used to monitor nitrogen during breathing gas production and a second independent analyzer must be used to verify the nitrogen content of the stored breathing gas prior to diver use.

The Pro N₂ Alarm comes with two user-programmable audible and visual alarms for low and high nitrogen content. If the alarm sounds, the analog output can activate an optional relay that can automatically shut down compressors, sound a remote alarm, or activate an emergency backup system. Available Options

Three power options are available for this analyzer: 110/220V wall plug-in, 9-volt battery, and rechargeable lithium battery. For wall plug-in powered analyzers, two optional modules can be built into your analyzer: FAILSAFE and SMART START.

Adding the FAILSAFE Module to your Nuvair Pro Alarm analyzer will automatically disable integrated power equipment if: (a) Analyzer power is interrupted, or (b) Analyzer goes into alarm. Adding a SMART START Module to your Nuvair Pro Alarm Analyzer will automatically power-up the analyzer in tandem with integrated power equipment, like a compressor.

WARNING: Never expose gas sensors to pressure or you may cause damage and/or false readings. Damaged sensors will not provide accurate gas analysis. Most gas analyzers can be used to analyze a regulated gas sample flow, the contents of a gas cylinder, or the flow from a regulator. The flow rate of gas must equal 1-5 L/min. To produce this flow, a Flow Restrictor and Regulator may be required. A faulty Flow Restrictor can lead to a false analyzer reading. Flow Restrictors should be regularly tested with a Flow Meter. Inaccurate gas analysis can lead to serious personal injury or death.
